Delivering Quality... when and where you want it
Not only does Autosupplies operate in one of the most competitive
factoring areas in the UK (Chesterfield), it also has one of the most
diverse and remote catchment areas for a factor.
As the company's reputation has grown, Autosupplies now serves an area covering a 40-mile radius from its base in Bolsover - heading into Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The extremes of their delivery area extend as far as Buxton, Doncaster, Barnsley and Sheffield.
David Clarke said: "We deliver as far as possible because customers demand us to. We've even got customers ordering in advance because they want to deal with us. In the future, if we can identify a profitable area then we will open up a satellite branch to service it effectively."
The organisation
deliveries to such a
catchment area requires military precision.
That responsibility falls
to Roger Brentnall, who has the massive task of co-ordinating 30 vans
on 25 fixed routes.
The five remaining vans are used as required to support those already working on the dedicated routes.
With such an extensive and well developed network, it means each customer needs to wait no longer than an hour for any product in stock.
Each delivery area has its own allocated area within the Bolsover HQ. Each customer receives a delivery time sheet based on which of the 25 routes he is on. Based on the time of the first delivery (which can start at 8.00am each day) he knows he can potentially receive a delivery at the same minutes past the hour, any hour . .
Depending on the area a same-day delivery can be made as late as 5.30pm.

Driven to deliver; here are some of the faces you can expect to see when you receive your Autosupplies orders.
